1) Hook the DSL modem to the phone line and to the computer.
If the LINK light is a solid red, the DSL is synched.
2) Install the Zoom ADSL disk that came with the Zoom X5 Modem.
3) On the desktop is an Icon for Zoom.
Click on it to open up the router set up page.
You can get to the router by opening a browser and typing in 10.0.0.2

password: zoomadsl
4) The first screen you will see is:
The important thing here is: ASDL Link status. It has to say "SHOWTIME"

Remember to save changes before leaving the page (it's on bottom of every page)

5) Click on "Basic Setup"
a) Do not change the VPI/VCI numbers
b) Set encapsulation method as " 1483 Bridged IP LLC "
c) Set Bridge to " Enabled "

6) Click on " Advanced Setup "

7) Click on " WAN Settings"
a) Enabled = Yes
b) VPI = 0
c) VCI = 35
d) Static IP = What we have assigned
e) Subnet Mask = What we have assigned
f) Service Category = UBR
g) Bandwidth = 0
h) Encapsulation = 1483 Bridged IP LLC
i) Default Gateway = What we have assigned
j) Everything below gateway should appear exactly as in the screenshot below

8) Set " DNS Proxy Selection " to: Use User Configured DNS Servers Only
Put in our DNS servers: Primary-63.149.55.3, Secondary 209.211.14.130

Save changes and remember to Write Settings to Flash and Reboot.
